Family portrait in Bridgehampton NY

On a steamy summer morning last year, I headed out to see one of my clients for their annual photo shoot. Each year, like clockwork, I get the call. And with four growing children, there’s always something new to capture. When you build that kind of relationship, clients begin to feel like family. So, I shouldn’t have been surprised when the girls ran across the gravel driveway barefoot to greet me. It’s those moments that remind me of how special being a family photographer really is—and how lucky I am to do it. We spent the first half of the day shooting in different areas of the beautiful backyard. The property was a perfect backdrop.

The children had so much fun playing and posing together. You can see the tight knit bond between them especially in looking out for their baby sister.

Such a gorgeous family, just happy to pause and spend some quality time together. We all forget how important that is sometimes. That’s part of what makes these photo shoots so special.

It was pretty challenging to narrow down which images to include here. I can’t help smiling every time I look at them.

My hope is that the clients feel the same when they look at their albums. They always order one after their portrait session. It’s such a great way to track the passing time and capture the special moments each year.

Hope you’re enjoying the summer!
